The Sports Guy

I met Sports Guy online (you'll find this will be the case for most of the guys I post about). He seemed cool enough...we were both home on a Saturday night (red flag #1?...by the way, I judge...I can't help it...never point the finger at myself...perfectly fine for me to be home on a Saturday night...but if he is, then its a red flag. Yup) He told me he's an editor for a fantasy sports magazine. Perfection, I love fantasy football. We chat on the phone. He seems ok enough.

Pros:
Knows sports more than me (this is rare in a guy...I know A LOT about sports...guys can't handle it)
6'3"...nice
Phone voice...deep, masculine. Not bad.
Owns his own house

Cons:
Works from home (ie: never leaves his house?)
Not very attractive
Tells me he doesn't have a lot of experience with women (ugh)
Gets kinda giddy when the conversation turns to sex...like a 16 year old boy
Made some kind of offensive comment about gay people that turned me off.

I have to admit that since he was my first foray after the breakup, I was kinda excited about the attention...that is, until it turned kinda creepy. He told his mom about me. He told his friends about me. He text and emailed me daily. And all this after 1 phone conversation.

When we finally did meet up, THIS is what happened. I shit you not. I'll give you a moment.

I never contacted him again. He, however, text me and emailed me about 20 more times. I was so irritated that my lack of response wasn't getting through to him so I finally sent him the cordial "I'm not interested email". What I really wanted to do was cuss him out for making me send him this email when, at the age of 35, he should be better at reading the situation. Totally irritated.

He text me again this week.

No thank you.
